SLAF Welcomes The New Year

The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Gagan Bulathsinghala addressed the Air Force Board of Management, Officers, other ranks and civilian staff of AFHQ and Station Colombo this morning (1st January 2016) at the Air Force Headquarters premises.
In his message the Commander commended the hard work rendered by each and every person in the organization towards success in the previous year and also appreciated the silent contribution given by the families of the service personnel too.
The Commander in his speech highlighted new plans of the New Year. Development and upgrading of primary camp school at SLAF Base Katunayaka into a secondary school with the beginning of new school term, environmentally conscious green projects such as introducing vehicle emission test for Air Force vehicle fleet and introducing more tree planting programs to protect environment are some of those.
A multi religious ceremony was also held to invoke blessings on the SLAF and all personnel.
