Advance Gunners Complete Training - SLAF Palaly

A total of 128 gunners from the 14th Gunner Advanced Course (TE II) passed out this morning (April 9, 2010) at Sri Lanka Air Force Station Palaly after completing 14 weeks of training. Their training focused on Drill, Weapon Training,  Live Fire & Maneuver  Exercises, Jungle Survival, Guerilla Warfare, Leadership, Intelligence, Model Briefing Skill Development, Air Power, Combat First Aid and Basic Computer Knowledge.

For exceptional performance, Cpl Dharamarathna PVRS (21305) was awarded “Best in Drill”, Cpl Hearth HMW (21672) was awarded “Best Shot”, Cpl Chandana ITPJ (21229) was awarded “Best Student” and Cpl Wijerathna MDRK (20760) was awarded Best  in "Physical Fitness and Best All Rounder".

SLAF Palaly Station Commanding Officer Group Captain Nishen Abeysinghe graced the occasions as the Chief Guest.
