SLAF 'Angampora' Celebrates Its 4th Anniversary

A presentation and display on ‘Angampora’ was conducted by the SLAF
Angampora team at SLAF Combat Training School (CTS) Diyatalawa on 10
December 2016, marking yet another significant milestone in
history of the indigenous art of ‘Angampora’. This also coincides with
the 4th anniversary of introduction of ‘Angampora’ to the Air Force.
The event was made colourful by a performance of both ‘Angam’ and ‘Illangam’ by members of the RSF/SABF, the Angampora Display Team and the instructors of the ‘Ange Medilla Ranapila’ including the main ‘Guru’ Deshamanya Dr. Ajantha Mahantharachchi himself.
Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Chairman of the SLAF Angampora & Commanding Officer SLAF CTS Diyatalawa Air Commodore Camillus Labrooy and other invitees, Officers and other ranks of SLAF attended the event.
