Annual AOC’s Inspection at SLAF Station Morawewa
The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy, conducted the AOC's Inspection at SLAF Station Morawewa today (29 June 2017).
Commanding Officer SLAF Station Morawewa, Wing Commander CRD Goonawardena welcomed the Commander with a guard of honour.
Certificates of commendation were awarded during the parade for meritorious contributions to the Station in particular and to the Air Force in general to the following personnel:
17942 Flight Sergeant Bandara MKWK (OPS Guard I)
25459 Corporal Sampath APN (OPS Guard I)
019882 Leading Aircraftman Chaminda Kumara MW (Tech Wood)
During the course of the inspection the Commander visited all areas of the station and declared open the newly constructed Billiard Room.
On conclusion of the inspection, the Commander addressed the Officers, Airmen and Civilians staff of the Station. Commander appreciated their hard work and encouraged them to set and reach even higher goals in future.
