SLAF Fire School & Fire Tender Maintenance Squadron Celebrates its 1st Anniversary

SLAF Fire School & Fire Tender Maintenance Squadron at SLAF Base Katunayake celebrated its 1st anniversary on 27 October 2017 . The formation day parade was reviewed by the Commanding Officer Squadron Leader CP Hettiarachchi.
The Fire School & Fire Tender Maintenance Squadron was established to educate SLAF fire fighters on theoretical know how and to train them in par with the latest techniques. Fire vehicle maintenance section also is established within the school premises which ensures the timely and professional maintenance of the fire vehicles and fire equipment.
The formation day celebration was concluded with a tree planting campaign and a soft ball cricket tournament organized among the Squadron personnel.
The Base Commander, Air Vice Marshal MDAP Payoe graced the occasion as the chief guest. Commanding Officer Squadron Leader CP Hettiarachchi, Commanding Officers of the other formations, Officers, Other Ranks and civilian staff of the Fire School & Fire Tender Maintenance Squadron also present at the occasion.
