Children's Party and Annual Get Together of AFHQ and SLAF Station Colombo

The Children's party of AFHQ and Sri Lanka Air Force Station Colombo was held yesterday (19 January 2018). A large number of personnel serving at SLAF Station Colombo and Air Force Headquarters and the civilian staff with their families participated.
The programme started at 1500 hrs and comprised of an array of entertainment which included a Magic Show, Air Dog Show, games for children, music, bouncers with water sports. Fast food outlets added to the fun and frolic, while Santa Clause also made an appearance. The children’s party commenced with the arrival of Mrs Prabhavi Dias the wife of the Chief of Staff.
The Annual Station Get Together was held on the same evening. The Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy and the Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Anoma Jayampathy graced the occasion as the Chief Guests and were received by the Commanding Officer Air Commodore Waruna Gunawardana and Mrs Gunawardana.
A colourful musical evening was arranged by the organising committee of SLAF Station Colombo. The event was made even more glamorous by fireworks and guest performances from artists such as Punsiri Soysa, Shashika Nisansala, Chandrasena Hettiarachchi, Flight Sergeant Imali Pathirana and Sergeant Thushani Perera of the SLAF.
