The 70th Independence Day parade, where Sri Lanka commemorates the successful outcome of the valiant struggle for freedom from colonial powers is scheduled to take place at the Galle Face Greens on 04th February 2018.

This year too, the Air Force will participate in the ceremonial parade. 47 Officers, 867 Airmen and Airwomen are expected to join the parade to present their salute to His Excellency the President.

A rehearsal for the parade was held this morning (01 February 2018). The Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy was present to inspect the rehearsals. Senior officers of the tri forces were also present at todays rehearsals.
