The Commander of the Air Force attended a special “Pichcha Mal Pooja” at Kelaniya Raja Maha Viharaya last evening (01 March 2018). The event was organized by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Colombo Air Commodore Waruna Gunawadana to invoke blessing on those who laid down their lives for the motherland and the entire Air Force in view of the 67th Anniversary.

The Chief of Staff of the SLAF Air Vice Marshal Sumangala Dias, members of the Air Force Board of Management, their families, officers and other ranks from AFHQ and SLAF Station Colombo attended for the event.
