An all-night “Pirith Chanting” ceremony was organized by SLAF Academy China Bay to mark its 57th anniversary and to invoke blessings on those who made the supreme sacrifice in the name of the country, the Commander of the Air Force, all Serving members in the SLAF, sister services and their families on 03rd April 2018 under the patronage of the Commandant, Air Commodore Sampath Thuyacontha.

The Pirith Chanting was followed by an alms giving for Venerable Maha Sangha and the reliquary was taken to the Academy Premises in a colorful procession.  The event was attended by Commanding Officers of the Lodger Formations, Officers, Other Ranks, all trainees, civilian staff along with their family members.
