SLAF Participates for the International First Sergeants Symposium in USA for the First Time

The Command Master Warrant Officer (CMWO) of the SLAF, Master Warrant Officer GGM Ranjith Kumara and Flight Sergeant Pathirana PPDA from the CMWO’s office participated for the International First Sergeants Symposium 2018 held at the Pacific Air Forces, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii.
The symposium hosted by the Air Force Hawaii First Sergeants Association is held annually to mentor and grow first sergeants. The symposium was held from 16th to 20th July 2018. The five day event was designed to educate senior enlisted leaders on roles and responsibilities of the First Sergeants position. The participants were educated on topics such as Discipline, Counselling Techniques and force fitness.
International Participants were given the opportunity to take part in question and answer panel to provide their nations insights on discipline, challenges and innovative programs that help enlisted men and women.
