The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy conducted the Commander's Inspection of SLAF Station Mirigama yesterday (29 October 2018). The Commanding Officer, Wing Commander Nipuna Thanippuliarachchi received the Commander and accorded a street lining on his arrival.

The Commander inspected the Station premises and declared open the newly constructed Utility Complex for Station personnel.

Corporal Chirantha SLWD (Telecom Technician) and Corporal Ranasinghe RPNT (Computer Technician), were awarded Certificates of Commendation for their exceptional dedication rendered to SLAF Station Mirigama and the Air Defence Command and Control Centre.

Thereafter, the Commander addressed the Station and appreciated the commendable effort taken by all Officers, Staff and Civilians in maintaining the standards to the highest level.
