New Three Storied Officer Cadets' Accommodation Building Declared Open by the Commander
The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy declared open the newly constructed three storied Officer Cadets’ Accommodation Building at SLAF Academy China Bay yesterday (11 January 2019).
The first floor of the new three storied building consisted of a Ladies Room, a Bar and Ante Room. The Second floor consisted of ten (10) rooms with a common bathroom while the top floor was made up with a dormitory and a common bathroom.
The construction of the new three storied building was done by the Civil Engineering Wing at SLAF Base Katunayake under the supervision of the Directorate of Civil Engineering.
The Chief of Staff, Air Vice Marshal Sumangala Dias, Director Civil Engineering, Air Vice Marshal MRK Samarasinghe, Members of the Air Force Board of Management, the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Air Force Academy, Air Commodore Sampath Thuyacontha, Officers from China Bay were present for the opening ceremony.
