War Hero Honoured By A Student

Mr. GM Uditha Lahiru Aponsu donated a limb to Aircraftman Madushanka NMA of Sri Lanka Air Force.
A 16 years old student from Mahanama College Colombo, a resident of No. 6/2, Nawetiya, Kiridiwela. donated a limb (below knee artificial prosthesis) to mark his 16th Birthday. His parents Mr. Kuladasa Aponsu and Mrs. Kavindi Aponsu urged their son to spend for a worthy cause, "To give to those who gave without seeking a return"
Airman Madushanka NMA got injured while he was serving at Sri Lanka Air Force Iranamadu due to a mine explosion on 26th September 2009.
Director Health Services Air Vice Marshal Nimal Gunaratne and Director Ground Operation Air Commodore Krishan Yahampath facilitated the worthy cause.
