At present, the SLAF Hospital in Colombo performs 20 to 30 minor and intermediate surgeries weekly.  The SLAF Hospital marked yet another milestone yesterday when the second major surgery was successfully completed and the ICU undertook the management of the patient, post op. 

This marks a significant turning point in the development of the Directorate of Health Services of the SLAF. This achievement was made possible due to the sheer dedication and commitment of the SLAF surgical team led by Dr. KC Rathnathunga (Consultant Surgeon), Dr. (Mrs.) NSA Wickramasinghe (Consultant Anesthesiologist), SLAF Medical Officers and Nursing Staff of the SLAF Hospital in Colombo.
