SLAF CBRNE Wing Disinfects Belgian Ship Crew who arrived at Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport

The SLAF Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear and Explosive Wing conducted disinfection operations for 43 crew members of a Belgian Ship docked at the Galle Harbor. These crew members arrived yesterday (28 May 2020) at Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport on a special aircraft from Belgium as a replacement crew for the Ship which is docked at the Galle Harbor.

On the instructions of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sumangala Dias, a special CBRNE Team led by Pilot Officer SKS Rukshan conducted the operations. During the operation all 43 crew members, their belongings and the aircraft that they arrived in were disinfected by the CBRNE Team.
