The certificate awarding ceremony of No.11 English Medium and No.82 Sinhala Medium Non Commissioned Officers’ Management Courses was held at Astra Hall, SLAF Academy China Bay yesterday (28 August 2020). Air Commodore RHKP Ranasinghe, the Deputy Director Aeronautical Engineering of the Sri Lanka Air Force graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest.

The ceremony marked the completion of the 11-week course attended by a total of 72 Senior Non Commissioned Officers and 79 Junior Non Commissioned Officers. During the Ceremony, 151 NCOs received certificates to mark the successful completion of their respective courses.

The primary objective of conducting this course is to transfer sound academic and managerial knowledge, while refining leadership qualities within the Non Commissioned Officers of the Air Forces. The course ran through a well-formed syllabus spread over a scheduled period of 11 weeks. Both courses were affiliated to the University of Rajarata and all Non Commissioned Officers who fulfilled the required criteria were awarded with a Certificate in Management.

Sergeant Rajapaksha RARPK (Accounts Assistant) secured the first place in the order of merit with an outstanding average 91.91 out of the SNCO’s who participated for the No.11 English Medium Management course.

Corporal Perera HND (Accounts Assistant) secured the first place in the order of merit with an outstanding average 83.49 out of the JNCO’s who participated for the No.11 English Medium Management course.

Sergeant Wijesinghe NS (Admin Assistant) secured the first place in the order of merit with an outstanding average 84.50 out of the SNCO’s who participated for the No.82 Sinhala Medium Management Courses.

Corporal Somariri GWPLS (Safety Equipment Assistant) secured the first place in the order of merit with an outstanding average 84.18 out of the JNCO’s who participated for the No.82 Sinhala Medium Management Courses.
