The Commander’s Inspection at SLAF Base Vavuniya was held on 28 August 2020. The Commander was received by the Base Commander, Air Commodore LC Dissanayake and was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour, followed by the awarding of commendations to two Other Rankers in recognition of their exceptional services towards the development of the Base.

The Inspection commenced from the Base Headquarters after which the Commander visited the lodger formations, other work places and the construction sites within the Base.

In conclusion, the Commander addressed all ranks of the Base where he thanked them for their dedicated services to the nation and the SLAF in particular during challenging times and encouraged them to strive for even higher levels of discipline and standards.
