The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sumangala Dias conducted the Commander's Inspection of Sri Lanka Air Force Station Koggala  on 23 September 2020. The Commander was received by the Commanding Officer, Group Captain MPA Galappaththi where the Commander was accorded a Street Line.

During the course of the inspection, the Commander visited all areas of the Station including the Station Headquarters, Station Warrant Officer's Office, Station MI Room, Airmen & Airwomen's Mess and Social Club, JNCO's Social Club, Fire Section, Warrant Officers' & SNCOs' Mess, MT Section, Eagles’ Catalina Golf Club, Holiday Homes, Catalina Grill Restaurant,  Agro Farm, Officers Mess, . Certificates of Commendation were awarded to following personnel for their meritorious contributions to the Station in particular and to the Air Force in general.

On Conclusion of the Inspection, the Commander addressed all personnel of the Station. During his address he appreciated the services provided by this Station to all members of the Air Force and their families as a holiday destination. The Commander also congratulated the Commanding Officer and his staff on a successful Commander’s Inspection. In conclusion he encouraged the members of the Station to continue with their dedication and commitment and to always remember to maintain a very high level of self-discipline as proud members of the Sri Lanka Air Force.
