CHINESE EMBASSY MAKES GENEROUS DONATION TO THE SRI LANKA AIR FORCE

The Defence Attaché at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, Senior Colonel Wan Dong, called on the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana today (18 December 2020) at Air Force Headquarters.
The Defence Attaché was accompanied by Colonel Chang Qianjin, the Deputy Defence Attaché and Major Wu Shaohong, the Assistant Defence Attaché. The visiting Defence Attaché and the Commander discussed matters of mutual interest where the intended donation COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test Kits worth Rs.10 Million was also conveyed. As a result, 8725 test kits were delivered to the Air Force Hospital in Guwanpura by this evening.
In conclusion, the visiting delegation and the Commander exchanged gifts and mementos as well to mark the event. The donated test kits will strengthen SLAF health services and related personnel to screen Air Force Troops quickly and effectively to ensure their safety form the COVID-19 Virus.
