The Outgoing Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Palavi, Group Captain WKASW Vithana BA (Def Stu) handed over duties to Group Captain CJ Godakanda USP, BA (Def Stu), psc. The Ceremonial Handing over/ Taking over Parade took place at the Station yesterday (04 January 2021).

The outgoing Commanding Officer, Group Captain WKASW Vithana took over the Command of the Station on 28 February 2020 and served in the position for ten months. During his tenure he has taken many steps to develop the Station as well as the facilities of Officers and Other Ranks.

The incoming Commanding Officer, Group Captain Godakanda was the  Commanding Officer of 27 Regt Wing at SLAF Base Ratmalana before being appointed to Command SLAF Station Palavi.
