SLAF Unit BIA held its annual get together and children’s party at the Bandaranaike International Airport on 22 December, 2010.

Families celebrated the end of another year amidst a wonderful view of aircraft soaring high in the sky, but the fun was aplenty on the grounds, especially for the children.

Commanding Officer of SLAF Unit BIA, Group Captain WWPD Fernando and Mrs. Fernando graced the joyous occasion as Chief Guests.

The ceremony commenced with lighting of the traditional oil lamp. After the formalities began the delightful events of the evening held for the children such as the magic show, the Air dog show and many more.

Also at the venue were the bouncer and merry-go-round to make the evening more colorful. All service personnel and their families who attended including families of deceased airmen thoroughly enjoyed the event.
