The SLAF Hospital Colombo celebrated its 09th anniversary yesterday (01 July 2023). The formation day celebrations commenced with the customary working parade which was reviewed by the Commanding officer, Air Commodore PAV Padmaperuma. The Commanding Officer addressed all officers, airmen and civil staff who contributed to the development of the hospital from its inauguration and thanked all the past Commanding Officers, Medical Officers, Other Officers, medical and non-medical staff and civilian staff. The Commanding Officer also extended his greetings to all the medical, non-medical, and civil staff and thanked them for their dedication and active contribution to the development of the hospital.

In parallel to the celebrations, a special community service programme was conducted at Sri Lankaramaya, Borella. Also, a Bana programme was held at the hospital premises on 30 June 2023. Subsequently, a friendly cricket tournament was organized followed by a social gathering with the participation of the Commanding Officer, all officers, medical and non-medical staff and the civilians of the hospital.
