COMMANDER’S INSPECTION AT SLAF TRADE TRAINING SCHOOL EKALA
The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, concluded the Commander’s Inspection at SLAF Trade Training School, Ekala yesterday (14 September 2023).
The Commander reviewed the Commander's Inspection Parade, which was commanded by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Trade Training School Ekala, who is also the Director Trade Training of SLAF, Group Captain Uditha Piyasena. During the parade, Certificates of Commendation were awarded to the following two Junior Non-Commissioned Officer, airman and a civilian staff member in recognition of their outstanding performance.

The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, visited all areas of the Trade Training School despite adverse weather conditions. Following the inspection, the Commander addressed all ranks of the School including the trainees and civilian personnel. During the address, he emphasized the pivotal role of Trade Training School Ekala as the forerunner of SLAF trade training and he focused on the requirement of developing the infrastructure at the school.
Furthermore, he stressed that every member must endeavor to contribute wholeheartedly, upholding the values of Professional Excellence, Integrity and Discipline to be in the framework of professional Air Force. Finally, the Commander expressed his gratitude to the Commanding Officer and his team, acknowledging their dedicated efforts in preparing the School to meet the standards required for the Air Force.
