The SLAF Motor Racing team participated in the prestigious Motorcycle racing events at Thunder Strike 2023, a highly anticipated racing extravaganza held at the Katukurunda track and organized by the Federation of Motor Sports Sri Lanka (FMSSL). The event took place yesterday (24 September 2023), drawing enthusiasts and competitors from all corners of the country.

In an impressive display of skill and determination, Leading Aircraftman Weerasinghe KMA achieved a commendable feat by securing the coveted position of 1st runner-up in the Standard Motorcycle category for machines ranging from over 100cc to 125cc. Additionally, Leading Aircraftman Madumal AAV demonstrated exceptional prowess in the fiercely contested Standard Motor Cycles category, specifically over 125cc up to 160cc. Leading Aircraftman Madumal AAV clinched 3rd runner-up, further elevating the SLAF Motor Racing team's standing in the competition.

The event was attended by the Chairman of SLAF Motor Racing, Air Vice Marshal MPA Mahawattage and the Secretary of SLAF Motor Racing, Group Captain AKKR Abeysinghe.
