The Inter Unit Judo Championship 2023 was held at the Indoor sports complex SLAF Base Katunayake from 25 September to 27 September 2023. The final and awards ceremony took place at the same venue on 27 September 2023 with the graceful presence of Director General General Engineering, Air Commodore Gihan Seneviratne as the Chief Guest.

The championship was conducted under 10 weight categories for men and eight weight categories for women, and team events were held for both. 61 male players competed in the men's events from 17 independent sports formations, while 35 female players participated in the women's events from seven independent sports formations.

The SLAF Station Colombo secured both the Men's and Women's overall Championship titles, while SLAF Station Bandaranaike International Airport and SLAF Station Palaly claimed the Men's and Women's Runner-up positions, respectively.

The Base Commander SLAF Base Katunayake, Air Commodore SDGM Silva, the Chairman SLAF Judo, Air Commodore MPA Galappaththi, the Deputy Base Commander SLAF Base Katunayake Group Captain ADR Liyanaarachchige,  the  Director  Sports, Group  Captain WASB Weerasekara, the Secretary  SLAF Judo, Group Captain MADCI Gunasinghe, Members of the Air Force Sports Council, officers and other ranks attended to witness the event.
