SLAF COMBAT TRAINING SCHOOL DIYATALAWA CELEBRATES 71ST ANNIVERSARY

The SLAF Combat Training School Diyatalawa celebrated its 71st anniversary on today (15 October 2023), with a series of community service projects and religious activities under the guidance of the Commanding Officer, Air Commodore Vajira Senadheera, together with all officers, other ranks and civilian staff.

As part of the commemoration of the formation day, Shramadana campaigns were conducted at the Diyatalawa Bus Station and "Eagles' Nest" Children's Park. Additionally, jackfruit saplings were distributed to government institutions, including Diyatalawa Central College, the Institute of Surveying and Mapping Diyatalawa, the Diyatalawa Railway Station, the Haputhale District Hospital, and Haputhale Maha Vidyalaya.

In parallel with the anniversary celebrations, the newly constructed office room for the preschool building was opened, and the newly expanded canteen and gymnasium facilities in the School were declared open.

Additionally, a Dharma Deshana Programme was conducted to invoke blessings to the School and its personnel.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
