INTER UNIT ARCHERY CHAMPIONSHIP 2023

The Inter Unit Archery Championship 2023 was held at SLAF Base Kat on 18 and 19 December 2023. The Deputy Chief of Staff, Air Vice Marshal Waruna Gunawardana, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
SLAF Station Colombo secured victory in the Men's Championship, while Regiment SLAF Base Katunayake emerged triumphant in the Women's Championship. The runners-up positions were claimed by Regiment SLAF Base Katunayake in the Men's category and SLAF Base Katunayake in the Women's category. Men’s 18m individual event gold medal was won by Wing Commander KMPS Kulathunga from Regiment SLAF Base Katunayake, Men’s 30m individual event gold medal was won by Wing Commander DK Kaluarachchi from SLAF Station Colombo and 18m and 30m Women’s individual event gold medal won by Leading Aircraftwoman Nishshanka NAGL Regiment SLAF Base Katunayake respectively.
The event was attended by Base Commander SLAF Base Katunayake, Air Commodore Deshapriya Silva, Chairman SLAF Archery, Group Captain Pradeep Piyaratne, Members of the Air Force Sports Council, officers and other ranks.
