SLAF Seva Vanitha Donates House Worth Rs 1 million to War Hero

A newly built house worth of Rs 1 million was donated to Lac Kalum De Silva who was wounded in action due to a terrorist mortar attack during operation Jayasikuru in Nadunkani. The construction of the house was sponsored by the Seva Vanith Unit of the Sri Lanka High Commission in Bangladesh through the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit.
The ceremony to hand over the house was held this morning (22 September, 2009) at Panadoga.
This is the 5th housing project to be completed and handed over to war heroes by the Sri Lanka Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit under the guidance and direction of its Chairperson Mrs. Nelun Goonathileke.
Mrs Nelun Goonetileke, Chairperson of Sri Lanka Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit, Project Manager of Anula Fernando Housing Project, Executive Committee of Sri Lanka Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit and the relatives of the war hero were present during the occasion.
