Sri Lanka Air Force Base Anuradhapura celebrated 29 years as an establishment and 24 years as a Base on 9th November 2011.

The Base Commander Air Commodore PDKT Jayasinghe inspected the Base day parade in the morning which initiated the proceedings.

In line with the Base day activities an all night pirith chanting was held to commemorate the members who made the supreme sacrifice for their motherland. This was followed by an alms giving on the following day. Service personnel and family members of those who made the supreme sacrifice participated in the above religious ceremony.
