A newly  built house worth of Rs. 900, 000 was donated to the wife and the son of war hero Sergeant Nandasiri who was killed in 1998 at Puliyankulam due to a Clamor attack, on 05th October 2009 at Weligama in the Galle District.

The house was donated by the philanthropist Ex Wing Commander Dr. and Mrs. Narme Wickramasinghe .

The Chairperson Seva Vanitha Unit Mrs. Nelun Goonetileke, the manager of Anula Fernando Housing Project Sqn Ldr Daraka Dias, Dr & Mrs Narme Wickramasinghe were also present at the occasion.



On the same day SLAF SVU handed over another completed house to wife and children of war hero Cpl Nilantha who was killed in Morawewa in 2008.

Both the houses were constructed under the supervision of Wing Commander Anuruddha Bandara , Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Koggala.
