The Seva Vanitha Unit of the SLAF, has as part of its mandate, the assisting of the needy within the SLAF family. Often, they seek out worthy and deserving causes and provide assistance to them in order to help the families of our servicemen and women to have a better quality of life.
In keeping with this vocation, the Seva Vanitha Unit of the SLAF, under the leadership of its Chairperson, Mrs. Mayuri Prabhavi Dias, recently handed over two wheel chairs to two needy and deserving persons, at a ceremony held at the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit at AFHQ, with the participation of the Chairperson.
The Mother of Sergeant Kannangara KKD, who herself is a retired airwoman, as the son of Warrant Officer SRS Kandedpola(Armament Mechanic) were the recipients of the wheel chairs at this event.
