The 11th phase of the “Guwan Mithudam” Project was completed by SLAF Combat Training School Diyatalawa under the guidance of the Chairperson of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Charmini Pathirana.
The project was conducted by renovating the Community Building Complex including its washroom facility, which is used for the Pre School, Maternity and Child Health Care Clinics and Grama Niladari Office and further providing water supply for the same. The project was completed and handed over to the villagers at Palleperuwa Village, Bandarawela yesterday (21 September 2021)
The project also included the installation of new overhead water tanks at the premises with provision of a pipe born water system and uplifted the standard of the surrounding of the building complex.
The Commanding Officer of the Combat Training School, Air Commodore Suresh Fernando, President of Seva Vanitha Unit at Diyatalawa, Mrs. Shanika Fernando, Regional Medical Officer Health , Assistant Government Agent of Bandarawela, a cross section of Officers and Airwomen from the Combat Training School at Diyatalawa attended the handing over ceremony while giving due consideration to COVID 19 preventive and precautionary measures. Conversely, dry ration packs were donated to expecting mothers who attended the Maternity Clinic.
