The SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit in liaison with the Directorate of Welfare, arranged a special donation of gift packs for the children of service personnel who had been killed in action and disabled in action. With the guidance of the Chairperson SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa, the value of a gift pack was increased to Rs. 15,000.00 from Rs. 10,000.00. This donation was made for 18 students and gift packs included stationery items and other educational materials as required by the children according to their grade/class.

Moreover, catering the requests of grievances projected by the needy service personnel retired members of SLAF and their family members, this unit frequently provides packs for school children including stationary items, school shoes, school bags, exercise books, lunch boxes, water bottles, etc.
