A special donation programme was held at Parakrama Samudraya Maha Vidyalaya in Polonnaruwa yesterday (13 March 2024), as per a request made by the school's principal. The Chairperson SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. This school is located in a rural area of the Polonnaruwa District, where approximately 400 students from low-income families receive education.
With the guidance of Chairperson Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa, the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit arranged this donation programme, through which 33 pairs of school shoes were donated to needy children at the school. The programme was conducted with the blessings of a well-wisher and through the "Husma" plan. The event was attended by members of the Seva Vanitha Unit, the principal, teachers and students.
