Housewarming ceremonies of two (02) houses constructed under full house construction projects were conducted today (18 May 2024) with the graceful participation of the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa.

One house was handed over to Flight Sergeant Subasinghe SMCN and the housewarming ceremony was held at Ausadapitiya, Vavuniya. The second house was handed over to Sergeant Kumarasinghe R and the ceremony was held at Thiththagonewa, Kebithigollewa.

The SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit funded this project, while the construction work was undertaken by the dedicated staff of the Civil Engineering Wing at SLAF Base Katunayake. This project was executed under the guidance of the Director General Construction Engineering, Air Vice Marshal Chandana Geethapriya and supervised by the Base Commander of SLAF Base Vavuniya, Air Commodore Amitha Jayamaha.

The event was attended by the Base Commander of SLAF Base Vavuniya, Air Commodore Amitha Jayamaha, the staff of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit and a cross-section of officers and other ranks of the Base.
