In view of the forthcoming Poson Poya Day, the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit conducted a special donation yesterday (18 June 2024) for the Sri Isipathanaramaya Temple in Kahatagasthenna, Hali-ela, situated in the Badulla District. The Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa, attended the programme, which was organized under the unit’s “Husma Plan.” The temple, home to 24 Bikkhus, including 23 Samanera Bikkhus, faces numerous challenges in meeting their daily basic needs.
The donation of 20 dry ration packs, Pirikara items (Siwuru), a first aid box with medicines, stationery, Cleaning supplies and electrical items was made possible through the 'Husma Plan' of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, with contributions from the following donors, well-wishers and business corporations:
