Under the guidance of the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa, a special motivational programme was organized under the theme ‘Life success through determination' yesterday (02 August 2024) at the Eagles’ Lagoon View Banquette Hall Katunayaka.
The lecture was conducted by Mrs. Ashcharya Peiris Jayakodi, who is a renowned motivational speaker. She is well-known as Sri Lanka's one and only visually impaired fashion designer. During her full-day session, she moved the audience with her sensational stories and demonstrated her culinary skills despite being visually handicapped. Through her inspirational speech, she inculcated the essence of self-respect, surging through challenges during the darkest times of life as well as improving professionalism whilst balancing family life.
This event was attended by senior members of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Base Commander SLAF Base Katunayaka Air Vice Marshal Deshappriya Silva, members of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Lady Officers and Airwomen from SLAF Base Katunayaka, SLAF Base Rathmalana, SLAF Station Sri Jayawardenapura, SLAF Station Bandaranyake International Airport, SLAF Trade Training School Ekala and SLAF Station Palavi.
