Indi Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to bring joy and unforgettable memories for children who are battling Terminal cancer at the ‘Maharagama Apeksha Hospital’. As per a special request received from the founder of this organization, SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit organized a special event for the children under the care of this foundation to provide an opportunity to visit the Air Force Museum yesterday (27 November 2024).
With the aim of giving a lifelong memory and an unforgettable experience for these young warriors, SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit organized this special programme with the blessings of the Chairperson of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa. The event line up was planned aiming to provide entertainment for them. An Air dogs’ show as well as a Calypso band display was arranged which grabbed the special attention of these children.

The Chairperson of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa graced this occasion as the Chief Guest. The Base Commander of SLAF Base Ratmalana, Air Commodore Asela Jayasekera, Commanding Officer of Air Force Museum, Group Captain Uditha Wijerathna, Secretary Air Force Seva Vanitha, Squadron Leader Viludani Yatawara and members, the founder of Indi Foundation Mrs. Indima Rodrigo members of SLAF Base Ratmalana and parents of these children participated this occasion.
