Annual Commander's Inspection at SLAF Station Mullaittivu

The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal HD Abeywickrama conducted the Annual AOC's Inspection of the SLAF Station Mullaittivu on 7th June 2013.
The Commander was welcomed by the Commanding Officer Wing Commander MGL Chandralal and was awarded with a Street Line at the Station premises. During the inspection, the Commander visited all areas of the Station and officially declared open SLAF Station Mullaittivu after its recent expansion being done.
Certificates of Commendations were awarded to 23067 Sergeant Vindos ML Clk GD Sp (I), 39245Aircraftman Chathuranga GDR Ops Grd (III), 014904 Leading Aircraftman Mahesh Kumara BH Ops Grd (III) and 020823 Leading Aircraftman Rathnayake RMCM Ops Grd (III) by the Commander for their meritorious contributions to the Station in particular and to the Air Force in general.
On conclusion of the inspection, the Commander addressed the Officers, other rankers and civil staff of the Station while praising the commendable job they had done and he encouraged them to set and reach even higher goals.
The Commander also inspected the SLAF Combat Training School Vanni on his return journey to witness ongoing construction projects at SLAF Combat Training School. The Commander was received by the Commanding Officer SLAF CTS Vanni Wing Commander SN Fernandopulle.
