Pakistani Prime Minister Flies on SLAF VVIP Helicopter

Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Madam Begum Kalsoom Sharif who
arrived in Sri Lanka flew to Kandy on SLAF VVIP Helicopters this
morning (06 January 2016).
Pakistani Prime Minister who was accorded a red carpet welcome on arrival at SLAF’s Rifle Green, was received by the Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Gagan Bulathsinghala.
Pakistani Prime Minister along with a delegation took off for Kandy on two SLAF MI 17 VVIP Helicopters. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will visit the historic city of Kandy. He will pay homage to the Sacred Tooth Relic, and will also visit a Muslim Mosque and the Jinnah Centre in Kandy. He will Visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens and will plant a “Karanda” tree (Pongamia pinnata) to commemorate his visit to Sri Lanka.
