SLAF Celebrates 66th Anniversary
The 66th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Air Force was celebrated on 02 March 2017 by all SLAF establishments.
The Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy, addressed the parade held at AFHQ premises and extended his best wishes to all members of the Air Force on its 66th Anniversary. The Commander thanked all members past and present and their families for their contribution towards enabling the Air Force to reach the heights it has achieved.
Sports activities and an all-ranks lunch was held at the Rifle green grounds, Air Force station Colombo with the participation of the Commander. Air Force board of management, commanding Officer SLAF Station Colombo Air Commodore GGWTK Gunawardana, senior officers and all personnel.
In line with the 66th Anniversary, SLAF has organized an exhibition and tattoo which will be held on 3rd, 4th and 5th March at SLAF Base Ratmalana. The tattoo will include a number of mesmerizing events which can be seen very rarely.
