E &TE Wing SLAF Base Rathmalana celebrated its 26th Formation Day on 02 April 2017. In line with the formation day, a blood donation campaign was conducted at the “Apeksha Hospital” Maharagama on 30 March 17. On the same day, educational materials were distributed among 140 children at the Apeksha hospital.

The formation day celebrations began with the parade at the Base parade grounds followed by a cricket tournament with the participation of all ranks of the Wing. The Base Commander and all other formation commanders were present to witness the event.
