The Commander reviewed the AOC’s parade, commanded by the Base Commander, Group Captain VB Edirisinghe. Certificates of commendation were awarded during the parade for meritorious contributions to the Base in particular and to the Air Force in general to the following personnel:

17651 Flight Sergeant  Jayasiri  SUD (Ops Guard)
19834 Sergeant  Rathnayaka  HMIGS  (Ops Guard)

During the course of the inspection the Commander visited all areas of the Base and declared open the newly constructed Airmen holiday home.

Concluding the AOC’s inspection, the Commander addressed all ranks including the civilian personnel and commended their hard work to uplift the standards of the Base.  He emphasized the need to contribute their best to the Air Force as well as to the motherland at all times.
