SLAF Continues to Transport Relief Aid and Essential Items

Sri Lanka Air Force continues to transport relief aid and essential items for the people affected by the worst floods the country has experienced in over a decade. The Bell 212, Bell 412, and MI 17 helicopters were deployed in the early hours today to airlift prepared meals, dry rations, water bottles and much needed essential medical items to the disaster relief centres located in the flood stricken areas at Rathnapura, Kalutara, and Galle districts. While the transportation of aid to the relief camps is expected to continue through the day, Sri Lanka Air Force is also focusing on delivering food and other essential supplies to the groups of people who are isolated and trapped in the inundated areas.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
