SLAF Station Ekala Celebrate Vesak

Personnel of SLAF Station Ekala celebrated 'Vesak Full moon' on 27th May 2010 with religious observances and traditional activities.
The Buddhist Shrine room was opened on the station premises by the Commanding Officer Group Captain Janaka Amarasinghe in the evening.
Inter Section ‘Vesak Lantern Competition was held and the exhibit made by the Advanced trainees was selected as the best. Also a large Vesak lantern made by SLAF Station Ekala was displayed at Bauddhaloka Mawatha.
A drama depicting the theme honor and respect to parents was staged outside the station whilst the soft drink “Dansela” was also held outside the station premises.
