Annual Commander's Inspection Of SLAF Station Ampara
Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy conducted the Annual Commander's Inspection of SLAF Station Ampara today (25 May 18).
The Commander was welcomed upon arrival for the Inspection, after which he reviewed the Parade commanded by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Ampara, Group Captain HWR Chandima.
Certificates of Commendation were awarded during the Parade to Flight Sergeant Senanayake RMC (Ops Grd I), Flight Sergeant Priyantha Kumara R (Ops Grd I), Sergeant Amarasighe SDH (Ops Grd I), Corporal Basnayake BMSK (Ops Grd I) and Mr. Sarath Gamaini (Civil) for exceptional services rendered to the Station.
During the course of the Inspection the Commander visited all areas of the Station and declared open the new Airmens’ and Airwomens’ Mess of the Station.
Concluding the Inspection, the Commander of the Air Force addressed all Officers, Other Ranks and Civilian Personnel of the Station and praised them for a job well-done and encouraged them to achieve loftier heights in the future.
