SLAF conducts “Pichcha Mal Pooja” for Second Consecutive Year

The Sri Lanka Air Force conducted the “Pichcha Mal Pooja” at Kelaniya Raja Maha Viharaya in view of the 68th Anniversary for the second consecutive year. The event was organized under the auspices of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy on 9 March 2019 by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Colombo, Air Commodore Waruna Gunawadana to invoke blessing on those who laid down their lives for the motherland and the entire Air Force.

The Chief of Staff, Air Vice Marshal Sumangala Dias, members of the Air Force Board of Management, their families, officers and other ranks from AFHQ and SLAF Station Colombo attended for the event.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
