An all-night “Pirith Chanting” Ceremony was organized by SLAF Academy China Bay to mark its 58th anniversary and to invoke blessings on those who made the supreme sacrifice in the name of the country, all serving members in the SLAF, sister services and their families on 3rd April 2019 under the patronage of the Commandant, Air Commodore Sampath Thuyacontha.

The Pirith Chanting was followed by an alms giving for the Venerable Maha Sangha and the reliquary was taken to the Academy Premises in a colorful procession.  The event was attended by Commanding Officers of the Lodger Formations, Officers, Other Ranks, all trainees, civilian staff along with their family members.
