SLAF Conducts Helicopter Deck Landing Exercise with SL Navy Ship ‘Sindurala’

The Sri Lanka Air Force conducted a Helicopter Deck Landing Exercise, utilizing a Bell 412 helicopter in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Navy yesterday (20 October 2019).
This Helicopter Deck Landing exercise was conducted on the Sri Lanka Navy Ship ‘Sindurala’ while berthed at the ‘Ashroff’ Container Terminal of the Trincomalee Harbor. Group Captain RADTM Weerarathna and Wing Commander PDSS Gunawardana coordinated the operation. The aim of this exercise is to improve the safety and efficiency of landings in high seas as a helicopter landing on a moving frigate at sea is a challenging task.
