SLAF Renovated Ward at District General Hospital, Chilaw

On a request received from the District General Hospital - Chilaw, a team of civil engineering personnel from SLAF Station Palavi was deployed to renovate a Ward in order to be used to treat COVID-19 suspected patients.
On the instructions of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sumangala Dias and under the guidance of the Directorate of Civil Engineering of the SLAF team of engineering personnel comprising of an Officer and 24 Airmen completed the renovation of the ward within a short period less than 5 days.
The funding for the project was provided by District General Hospital while the SLAF provided the required manpower and engineering expertise to complete the project within a very short time.
